Hacia una Estrategia Nacional de Ciberseguridad en México
Mexico is in cyber-crisis due to the absence of a policy that coordinates the cybersecurity efforts implemented by very few government agencies and the private sector. Developing a comprehensive National Cybersecurity Strategy is crucial to address three major threats: 1) cyber-crime, specially theft, fraud and child pornography; 2) U.S, Russian, Chinese and Iranian cyber espionage; and 3) hacktivist groups like Anonymous. This paper outlines some policy guidelines adopted by other countries such as legislation enactment, cyber culture promotion, professionalization, developing public-private partnership and enhancing cyber defense.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Learning from the Architecture of Northern Mexico: Transforming Types, Materials, and Hybrids
This book is first in depth discussion of the undervalued architecture, landscapes, and urbanism of the states of Tamaulipas, Nuevo León, Coahuila, Chihuahua, Durango, Sonora, Sinaloa, and Baja California Norte and Sur. Covering the formative era of modern Mexico from independence from Spain in 1821 to the current contemporary pressures on local cultures by electronic information technology and the forces of globalization; the text documents, discusses, and analyzes an undervalued body of work largely unknown in either English or Spanish. The volume is profusely illustrated with over 400 black-and-white and color photographs, maps, and original analytical plan drawings of urban cores of major cities, and may be browsed online at: http://utpress.utexas.edu/index.php/books/burian-architecture-northern-mexico
